Preston School is a secondary school with specialist Business and Enterprise College status in Yeovil, Somerset, England. It had 937 students aged 11 to 18 years 2012. In July 2011, the school became an Academy. Preston School has a range of technology facilities; wireless internet across site, integrated ICT desking in several classrooms, apple macs in the music department, a £20,000 recording studio, specialist II teachers as well as the latest technology for school logistics.It also has a £900,000 1610 dance and fitness studio. The school offers specialist GCSE courses, most notable include Sport Btec, Business Btec and Dance.It was Tony Bloxham who implemented the schools system operated at Preston, there are five schools of learning: * School of Global Understanding - includes geography, history, languages (MFL) and life studies (Re, citizenship and PSHE). * School of Creative Expression - includes English, PE, Music, Art and media studies (GCSE.) * School of Innovation & Investigation - includes Design Technology and Science. * School of Business and Enterprise - includes ICT, Maths and Business Studies(GCSE). * School of Pastoral Support - includes senior leadership team, behaviour Teaching Assistants and learning managers. ==History== Preston School opened in 1961 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011.
